I had my hair cut by Danielle for the first time last week, and I wanted to pass back some feedback as I always reserve judgement on a cut until I have washed and styled my hair myself.

Having now lived with the cut for a few days, I have to say that this is probably the best haircut I have ever had. My hair is not in the best condition at the moment, but she has shaped my hair in such a way that even when I style it with my limited skills I think it looks fantastic. She has given it the kind of rounded shape that I have wanted for a long time, but no other hairdresser ever managed to achieve.

Not only is she an extremely talented young lady (which I guess you already know) but she was pleasant, friendly and very likeable, offering expert advice and guidance which I am very glad I followed. Please feel free to publish any of my comments if you so wish.

My daughter who is 11 years old is very picky about her hair Charlotte is the only hairdresser who listened to her giving her a hair cut that my daughter loved but more importantly I loved it too!! Top care. Thank you so very much.

I love coming here to have my hair cut as it is as relaxing as spending a day in a health spa. I usually come in after work for a haircut and always leave feeling a million dollars the scalp massage when having my hair washed is amazing and i am always pleased with the cut and style. Keep up the good work.

I often come to Steve Hilliard for a restyle and I believe they do a fantastic job. They are passionate about what they do and that’s what makes them unique. They treat customers like they are royalty and that’s what makes the experience comfortable. Fantastic staff with excellent manners very high standards.

I have been coming to Steve Hilliard Hairdressers for eight years and have always found his staff very friendly and helpful, they are all lovely girls. The standard of hairdressing is first class I would highly recommend Steve Hilliards to anyone.

Charlotte has been colouring my hair for the past year, she always does a lovely job and I am often asked who has coloured my hair, she is a lovely caring girl.

Moved to Luton from London some years ago. I was used to some of the “top hairdressers” and didn’t know who I would find to do my hair in Luton. Eventually I found Steve Hilliards, I couldn’t believe my luck!

Whoever does my hair does just what I want – I have never been disappointed – very high standards from the staff. Very highly recommended.

Dear Steve
Having just returned to Perthshire after my 3rd visit to your salon this year, I wanted to say how much I am impressed with, not only the committment to perfection by you and your members of staff, but also the level of customer service that is delivered. Kerry, who has looked after me on my visits, is a delightful girl. Meticulous in her attention to detail and possessing that rare quality in stylists - the ability to listen to the customer! It was by chance that I found you whilst on a visit to my Aunt who lives locally to your salon, but I now find myself paying more regular visits - in fact when my hair needs done! The endless queues to get through security at both Edinburgh and Luton Airports, the inevitable delays on the part of Easyjet, are all worth it when I leave your salon feeling like a million dollars! My husband, of course, thinks I am quite barking and can't believe I travel 500 miles to get my hair done, BUT as all ladies know, finding a hairdresser that suits is worth its' weight in gold, and I have certainly found my nugget! My very best wishes - no doubt I will be down again before the end of the year.

Hi Steve

I had an appointment at your salon in Ampthill last Saturday and was given your 'thank you' letter as I left. So often these days people write to complain but I so love my hair and enjoyed my appointment with Alison that I wanted to write to praise rather than moan! Alison really listened to what I wanted and made her own suggestions too which resulted in me leaving the salon with a cut and style that I am thrilled with (and have managed to re-create at home - a first!).

I've just returned from my second visit to your Ampthill salon and would like to say how impressed I am.  Charlotte restyled my hair on my first visit in August and did a fantastic job.  In fact, I think that it was the first time I've changed my hair in a major way and really loved it.  Charlotte made me feel at ease and we quickly built up a rapport which you rarely get on a first visit to a new salon.  The others girls are great too and you really get the feeling that they all get on, no attitude, just a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
 
I was very impressed with the courtesy call the day after my appointment, to check I was happy with my hair.  Great service and it didn't come over as false.  My great experience continued today.  I feel relaxed after the lovely head massage Charlotte gave me and again, very happy with my hair.
 
I have and will continue, to recommend the salon to everyone I know and am looking forward to my next appointment!

Hi Steve and the Ampthill Team,

I recently visited your new salon in Ampthill for the first time for a cut & finish and just wanted to say thank you. I was impressed from the first warm greeting to the professionalism of the staff and being able to purchase products (as well as being given samples) that were used on my hair. I have not felt happy with my hair for a while and Charlotte was able to advise me on the best products to use, plus she gave me a fabulous cut & finish. I am delighted with the products that I brought home as they have improved my hair enormously. So together with the cut & finish and great new hair products I am able to produce fabulous looking hair every day of the week. I cannot express my thanks enough! I look forward to visiting your salon again very soon.

Whilst my hair was being washed in the Ampthill salon, I read a sign on the wall about Steve Hilliard's commitment to customer service.  I suspected it was just there to look good.  In fact, all the staff are absolutely committed to providing excellent customer service.  They take time to consult you to understand exactly what you're after, the hair washing massage was really relaxing, the colour and cut were great and staff phone you afterwards to check that you're satisfied.     When I was in Ampthill a few days later, I bumped into Caroline who remembered my name and the event I'd been going to the night of my haircut. 

That's customer service!

I wanted to write you a quick note to express how impressed I was with the
service I received yesterday. I have been visiting you and your team for
over 5 years now and have always been impressed by the professionalism and service that is provided, especially by Charlie, who is my regular hair stylist.

Yesterday I tried the new experience of the KMS Head Massage, which was
expertly applied. This was an extremely relaxing experience (you need a
good 10 minutes before you drive) and a welcome respite in an otherwise hectic life. This will be a welcome addition to my visits in the future.

Thought I must write to let you know how impressed I was with the customer service I received yesterday.

I just popped in with a concern over my hair colour. Roxanne and Caroline were great and got to work sorting it out immediately (which I wasn’t expecting). Kerry, your Graduate Stylist, then looked after me for the remaining treatment. She has washed my hair in the past and applied my hair colour before. I must say what a star she is; always enthusiastic and attentive, nothing seems too much trouble to her. She obviously has a passion for hairdressing and I’m sure she will be a great asset to you in the future.

It is service like this that breeds loyalty and gives clients the confidence to recommend friends and family.

Dear Steve and Team

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to pass on my gratitude to you and all of your staff. I have been coming to you for the past six months and I have been extremely impressed by the whole experience of an appointment at your salon.

Your salon was recommended to me by several friends but as with any decision regarding a girls hair (ladies - I think you know what I mean!) I was very nervous on our first consultation as I had up until then had many bad experiences with hair salons. The first thing that I noticed on arriving at the salon was the professional and friendly welcome and the stylish surroundings so this did help put a lid on my nerves. The second thing I recall was the time you took talking to me about what my hair was like and how I wanted it to look. You didn't try and tell me what would look best you simply offered me advice and then carried ouot what I asked, producing fantastic results. I was also very impressed with the products on offer and the knowledge you had of the results they achieve. You really have turned the dreaded appointment with the hairdresser, that was painful but necessary, into something I now look forward to and enjoy. You have also given me the confidence to change a hair style that I have been sporting since I was 12!

Hi Steve and The Team

Just wanted to take this opportunity to pass on some customer feedback on the service I receive when I visit your salon.

The first thing I notice when I arrive is the warm, friendly welcome. It is the team you have that makes your business what it is and the commitment and professionalism that they bring to work every day. It is quite obvious that your staff are happy in their craft because it shows in their workmanship and their demeanour.

You have an accomplished band of ladies whose main mission is to send their customers away looking and feeling better than they did when they came in and I always feel better after a visit to your salon, just the head massage whilst being shampoo'd is a bonus that not all salons provide yet the customer benefits from it 100%.

I'm proud to say that I am one of your customers, I'm sure all your customers feel as I do. We come and make ourselves comfortable in clean, smart surroundings with friendly, attentive, talented staff, tasty beverages, up to date magazines and chocolate sweeties...what more could we ask for ?????!!!!!

Having had a customer service background myself,  I feel justified in recognising the smooth, uncomplicated way your business is run. Please pass on my thanks and praise to all the team for their efforts and I look forward to being a valued customer for many years to come !!

Dear Steve,

I have been thinking of writing to you for sometime now but have never got round to it, however, I feel it is about time I did it. 

You have been looking after my hair for quite a few years now and I have watched you grow from a “small salon” to a high-class salon owner.  During this period I have always been more than happy with the service I have received from you, e.g. advice, recommendations, cutting, products etc. and would have no hesitation in recommending you. 

As you know, I am not in my “first flush of youth” but although the salon is modern with a young girls working for you, I have never felt uncomfortable and find that you and your staff relate to both young and slightly older customers alike.  As soon as you enter the salon you are made to feel welcome and somehow the girls always remember your name, which makes you feel important – by the way, the complimentary drinks menu are great.

Your graduates, who are normally the first people I meet, are always very pleasant and courteous and have always looked after me very well when they are washing my hair etc.

I must mention Charlotte before I close because she has taken away all of the worries I used to have about having my hair coloured.  She has been doing this for me for quite some time now and I can sit back and relax in the chair knowing that I shall be more than pleased with the outcome.

Dear Steve,

Since 1992, yourself and your team have been responsible for looking after my hair. As you know, I now travel an almost 2 hour round trip to visit your salon and will continue to do so.

I would say that the continuing success of your business can only be attributed to your personal attention to detail, skill and eye for perfection. I would also like to thank Rachel and Caroline without whom your excellent team would be incomplete.

Having recently experienced the "InnerEffects" treatment I would definitely recommend this to your other clients - it is truly unbelievable!
